Merry Christmas to all of you out there! We are spending Christmas Eve, Heiliger Abend for us Germans, in Addis Abeba. We are again staying at Wim’s Holland House. Our bus from Hawassa arrived at a square not far from here, so we could easily walk. So we thought. On our way we almost became victims to pickpockets. Luckily I saw it and they left empty handed.
We enjoyed some traditional Ethiopian food for Christmas dinner with a few draft beers. And who gets to enjoy that on Christmas, right? 😉 All of this was finished with some imported Gingerbread and I habe to say, it may not feel like Christmas, but we had a great evening!
Tomorrow morning we are heading out early to catch the train to Dire Dawa and then further on to Harar.
